Gymfinity Kids: National Curriculum Gymnastics Programme

3 min read

After an amazing Summer of Sport with the Paris 2024 Olympics, our team at Gymfinity Kids want to keep the momentum going and encourage more children across the UK to engage in sport!

At Beth Tweddle Gymnastics by Gymfinity Kids, we offer opportunities for children to try gymnastics in a safe, welcoming, and supportive environment, which can help to raise the profile of PE and sport in school communities.

Our National Curriculum Gymnastics Programme

We believe that offering pupils the chance to participate in school lessons, outside competitions and “Have a go” events is essential for broadening their experiences of a range of sports and physical activities.

We understand that physical activity is a key element of a healthy lifestyle, and we are committed to supporting schools in their efforts to promote physical activity and healthy living.

Trusted by hundreds of schools nationwide, our National Curriculum programme has been successfully delivering gymnastics to thousands of children around the UK for the past 10 years, allowing children from all backgrounds and abilities to experience the joy of gymnastics in the comfort of their own school.

Our approach also includes embedding physical activity into the school day through encouraging active travel to and from school, active break times, and holding active lessons and teaching.

Why is it important to get children active?

Getting children to engage in sports at an early age can have a positive lifelong effect on their health. With only one in four boys and one in five girls in England doing the recommended 60 minutes of activity each day (ukactive), sedentary lifestyles are a huge worry and can have detrimental effects on children’s health.

Engaging in different sports will expose children to a variety of movement patterns, skills and physical challenges that will keep them on their toes and keep their attention.

If you know of a school that could be interested in our National Curriculum gymnastics programme, please do let them know about our activity offerings!

To support schools in introducing gymnastics, we are offering 4 hours of free lessons if the school signs up for Beth Tweddle Gymnastics by Gymfinity Kids in the Autumn 2024 term. They must sign before the deadline which is 13th September 2024.

To take us up on this offer or discuss it further, please email Samantha Scotland who will be happy to answer any questions and make arrangements for you.
